Dr. Bowen graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in Spanish. \u00a0She followed that with a Masters of Biomedical Science from Barry University in Florida. \u00a0She then was commissioned in the United States Army after being awarded the Health Professions Scholarship to complete medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. \u00a0Dr. Bowen completed her surgery internship and residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. \u00a0She excelled in her training there and was selected to stay on for an additional year as a staff general surgeon and resident educator. \u00a0She also became an assistant professor of surgery for the Uniformed Services School of Medicine. \u00a0She was deployed three times to Kuwait and Syria where she provided emergent and urgent surgical care to wounded soldiers, coalition forces, and local nationals. \u00a0She continues her serve to our country through the U.S. Army reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel. \u00a0<\/p>\n\u00a0\n

Dr. Bowen has a passion for finding and applying cutting-edge medical procedures that allow her patients to heal and to thrive. \u00a0She specializes in the treatment of breast cancer, placement of ports for chemotherapy, laparoscopic and advanced laparoscopic, robotic, and acute care surgery. \u00a0Her approach is both holistic and individualized, providing continuity of care with compassion and competence to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
